Solar System Panel Installation

Naturally without solar panels you don’t get solar energy. To be able to get the most out of your panels they need to be properly placed in spots where they are able to receive the most sunlight. Our process when it comes to solar panel installation isn’t as plug in and play as a lot of people might think. We’re going to be a doing a thorough evaluation to see where we can place these panels on your property to not only ensure that they are producing up their capacity. At the same time we want to make sure that they obstruct your property as little as possible.

What Are the Benefits of Solar Energy?

These days though, there are more tangible benefits like the fact that you can save a ton of money on your electric bill. As we’ve mentioned over time the initial investment that you have to make to set up solar panels has gone down considerably. Apart from solar energy being the conscious choice it’s also a smart financial decision these days.

As we’ve mentioned there are still a fair of share of myths around solar energy that we have to debunk at times. Especially when it comes to the amount of sunlight that you really need to be able to power your home. There is a sense amongst some locals that we don’t get enough sunlight particularly during the winter months around here in Charlotte for solar power to be sustainable in this area. That’s just not the case. We’d love to get a chance to go over some of the common questions that we get about solar energy.

Solar Power vs Solar Energy

a building with a roof covered in solar panels

The wording can certainly be a bit confusing. In simple terms though solar energy is what we get from the sun in the form of sunlight. Solar power is what that sunlight is turned into when it’s harvested by the panels and then passed onto the grid. Where it can get a little bit confusing is when someone tells that you need to be able to harvest x amount of solar energy to be able to produce enough solar power to be able to fill your energy needs.

Solar Power Basics

We really like to give clients and even potential clients the right idea when it comes to what they can expect if they’re planning on using solar power within their home. Even if it’s just something like a solar attic fan or a solar water heater. In fact, when you’re just trying to power one particular appliance you won’t need a full acre worth of solar panels. Working with the right people on these types of projects can save you a ton of time and money.

Solar Tax Credit

The state of North Carolina has just extended the legislation that offers a tax credit for people who install Solar energy systems in their homes through 2032. Originally this tax credit was instituted in 2005, and it was meant to last for one year. State legislators though have continued to extend the initiative. They continue to offer a credit worth up to 30% of the entire cost of the system as a tax break.
